| Seawater
Deoxygenation
|
|

Deoxygenation
of seawater
is effected
by intensive
mixing of
nitrogen with
water and
consequently
stripping
off the oxygen.
The objective
is to achieve
a low oxygen
content in
the water
at the outlet
of the system
prior to injecting
the process
water back
to the oil
well. In order
not to dete-riorate
the properties
of crude oil
and prevent
bacteria growth
in the well,
the oxygen
content needs
to be as low
as possible.
The process
is pat-ented
by Minox Technology
in Norway.
